I tried even just constantly clicking on her which resulted in the wrong ending, too. I grabbed the bucket and every time I do, she dies, then I die. I keep getting the wrong ending and having to start over. I just got out of the infirmiry avoiding that black figure and am now upstairs where Seiko has hung herself. So, she is dead inside Heavenly Host but doesn't recognize Seiko due to the school's influence and thus she doesn't interact with her. So this sounds ridiculous, but I'm stuck in chapter 1. But the reason she doesn't interact with Seiko is because so much time had passed that she wouldn't recognize her (plus the whole darkening thing might've clouded her memory). However, the curse still followed her around and then she was probably sucked back into the Nexus along with Sachiko and her mom. She could've been a nurse and had taken care of the family when one got sick or injured, but before she had Seiko she quit so the baby wouldn't be hurt. She was connected to the Shinozaki's, but not related to them. But recently I did find a theory that Seiko's mom might've just been related to the Shinozaki family, either by family or being associated with them.
