I had none of the crash bugs other people reported, but on long games, the AI can take a while to process turns, which could make it seem the game crashed. Once again, just like the original, the patch has a very similar look and feel, and works rather well, so the author did a good job (though a VWF would have gone a long way in polishing up the UI). Other than that, gameplay wise, it is extremely similar to the first game of the series, which I also reviewed.Īlso, like that game, it is best played versus humans, although, from what I can tell, AI could be a little tamer on this one (also AI difficulties aren’t class locked on this one, which is another benefit over the first). Now classes have distinct stat distributions and natural gains (rather than being just skins for each player) and everything is more polished and whimsical than before (which is a strength for games like this).

This is the second Dokapon game on the SNES (out of 3) and it feels a lot more refined than the first.
